fifth wheel rv camper travel on mountain road
                             About Us

Our names are Rich, Amy, Morgan, and Madison. We live on the Eastern shore of
Maryland; Eastern shore is a term for all life east of the Chesapeake Bay.

Camping is a way for us to reconnect as a family.  Like so many other couples find
after having babies, we had spent the majority of the kids' first four years as
co-habitators instead of a cohesive married unit. Camping also exposed us to the
notion of living full time in an RV and how some families even travel together, with
the kids being home schooled.

By knowing for the last 4 years we were eventually going to live in a much smaller
house, we have been hesitant to accumulate a lot of "stuff" that we just have to get
rid of eventually.

Our dreams really started to take shape last April when we sold our house. You
can read about
how we sold our house when it wasn't even on the market.. We are
currently renting a house that is about half the size of our old house, and have
stashed our equity in a CD for when we decide to reinvest in a home or business.

We  still want to get a cabin business one day, but figure this may be the best time
for us to travel with the kids.  Once they are in high school we want to remain
relatively stationary.

why we and how we started downsizing

Rich is a project manager for a construction company, building schools, hotels, and
hospitals.  He has been in this industry for 22 years, and while he likes what he is
currently doing, he is ready for a change.  His hobbies are fly-fishing and
weight-lifting.

Amy is a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department of a local
hospital. She loves her job and can't wait to try some travel nursing!  She is
working on becoming a personal trainer and has a web-based nutrition store,
www.BayBodyWorks.com, where she hopes to reach out to people who desire to
become more healthy. She also likes to work out and push healthy food on her
family!

Morgan and Madison are great kids and very good students with a full schedule;
ice skating, horse riding lessons, guitar lessons, and girl scouts keep them very
busy. They love playing with their cats, Tigger and Cloe, and look forward to seeing
the country in the RV.
